ASTRID POEI is a Canadian writer, communications professional and former journalist.

Her work has appeared in several notable publications including the Toronto Sun, Toronto Star and Reuters wire services.

Currently, she is pursuing a Creative Writing Certificate at the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies and is working on her first book.

She graduated from the University of Toronto with a BA in English and Professional Writing and Communication and attended Ryerson University for Journalism.

She is an avid hockey and ball hockey player, snowboarder, fisherwoman and traveller.
