ASTRID POEI is a Canadian journalist and writer based in Toronto.

Her career spans nearly a decade with her works appearing in several notable publications including the Toronto Sun, Toronto Star and Reuters wire services. Currently, she works as a reporter/photographer for 24 hours, a commuter paper owned by the Sun.

She attended the University of Toronto and Ryerson University. She is an avid hockey player, snowboarder, fisherwoman and traveller. She can speak Bahasa Indonesia.
